The Alabama Crimson Tide are expected to lead the Southeastern Conference in offensive efficiency in 2025, according to a recent projection by Saturday Down South. The rankings prioritize yards per play as the primary metric while factoring in quarterback talent, returning starters and coaching pedigree.

Despite hopes from Longhorn Nation, Texas did not claim the top spot. Instead, Alabama, under new head coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, earned the No. 1 ranking. The duo is expected to maximize a stacked roster of skill-position talent and a seasoned offensive line in their debut SEC season.

Texas landed at No. 2, with the buzz surrounding quarterback Arch Manning and a roster filled with elite recruits. The Longhorns have one of the highest offensive ceilings in the country, though the analysis notes lingering questions from last year’s inconsistency.

LSU grabbed the No. 3 spot behind returning quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and breakout running back Caden Durham. A wave of incoming wide receiver transfers and one of the highest rates of returning offensive production nationally bolster the Tigers’ outlook.

Ole Miss checked in at No. 4, with Lane Kiffin’s offensive mind expected to keep the Rebels humming despite the loss of longtime starter Jaxson Dart to the NFL.

Arkansas rounded out the top five, with offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and transfer quarterback Taylen Green seen as key pieces in a potential resurgence in Fayetteville.

Auburn and Florida were both listed as honorable mentions, narrowly missing the top five cut.
