In a wide receiver draft class that includes Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas, it's hard to find another receiver that is worthy of a first round pick. Those four guys have been the most talked about and most recognized athletes at the wide receiver group in this year's NFL draft class.

That being said, there's a guy that doesn't get a lot of credit, simply because he was on a mediocre team, with a mediocre offense.

Xavier Legette may be the steal of the NFL draft next week. He has the height and weight that is eerily similar to DK Metcalf, and has the same athleticism as him. These two are very similar in how they play the receiver position.

Metcalf is a guy that is not afraid of contact, and he is not afraid to get physical especially in the run blocking. Legette is the same way, his ability to maintain blocks, and drive his defensive back to create lanes for other receivers or backers to get free in the open space is what the ideal receiver needs to have in order to be successful.

They can't just be selfish and just worried about themselves and the catches in the targets that they get per game, Legette is a leader, he's a guy that while he was at South Carolina didn't go to the portal even when he had his opportunities to do so, was a vocal and mental leader in the locker room, and is somebody that young receivers can look up to as well.

It's scary when you watch a 225 pound receiver run a 4.4 40 yard dash, and see the same burst of acceleration when you turn on the film. Any other year this is a guy that would be a top 10 pick, and will be getting a contract over 10 million dollars. This may not be the case because of how much depth is in the receiver room.

Make no mistake about it, Legette is a dominant receiver, he can make any DB look silly, and physically dominate them at the point of attack. I see him becoming the next DK Metcalf, mark my words.
