Ok so, what are realistic expectations for Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament?

Ole Miss is currently eighth in SEC standings, something that is surprising considering the outlook at the beginning of the season. This could change as they finish up their series against Auburn, but if it does, it won’t be by much. If things stay the same, the Rebels would have a first round bye.

The worst part about it staying the same is that if they win their first game, their reward is the Texas Longhorns, the best team record wise in the SEC. They would likely lose here but crazier things have happened.

As a collective, the team could also just simply lose in their first matchup and their run would end there. This is unlikely as they should be able to win their first game as it would be either Alabama or Missouri.

,This team is good, but not good enough to really be a threat in the SEC Tournament and the regionals as well. The ceiling for this team in terms of the SEC Tournament, in my opinion, is a loss to Texas. I have no faith in the team making it to Omaha, but if they somehow do, their run would end rather quickly. The Pitching will have to be on point for the Rebels to truly accomplish anything as their hitting will be fine.

But hey who knows, the last time that Ole Miss was doubted, they won the entire thing and brought home a College World Series.
