A record 13 Southeastern Conference teams have been selected for the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, marking the most ever from a single conference to earn bids to the tournament.

The SEC, which set the previous record with 11 teams in last year’s field, will again dominate the bracket, earning the top four seeds and six of the top seven in the 64-team tournament. SEC Tournament champion Vanderbilt was awarded the No. 1 overall seed, followed by regular-season champion Texas at No. 2. Arkansas is seeded third, Auburn fourth, LSU sixth and Georgia seventh. Ole Miss is seeded 10th and Tennessee is 14th.

Other SEC teams in the field include Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.

The top 16 national seeds, in order, are Vanderbilt, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina, LSU, Georgia, Oregon State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and Southern Miss.

Eight SEC programs were selected as regional hosts, tying the tournament record for most from a single conference, which the SEC also set in 2023.

Each regional consists of four teams competing in a double-elimination format. Regional play begins Friday, May 30, and continues through Monday, June 2, if necessary. Regional winners advance to best-of-three super regionals, with those eight winners moving on to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The 78th Men’s College World Series begins June 13 at Charles Schwab Field.

The SEC has claimed 10 national titles by seven different teams since 2009, including the last five champions by five different programs. Nine SEC teams have finished as national runner-up in that span, with five all-SEC finals during that period.
